Our story

At Faith + Bones, we believe people are Earth’s greatest treasure. Every film we make is rooted in that conviction, created to reveal the beauty, depth and value of human life.

Founded in 2012 by filmmaker Tom Harmer, Faith + Bones has worked with clients across the UK and beyond, in both the charitable and corporate sectors. Whether telling the story of a grassroots initiative or a global cause, Tom brings the same care and storytelling craft to every project, creating films that move people and make a difference.

Alongside commissioned work, Tom continues to pursue his own passion projects. These include 52Humans, a lockdown project sharing a short story of humanity each week for almost a year, and The Sanctuary Seekers of Bradford, a 30 minute documentary that went on to screen at BAFTA, BIFA and Oscar qualifying festivals, and is now used as an educational resource by Schools of Sanctuary.

Most recently, Faith + Bones produced PAINTED, a reflective documentary exploring racism, identity and representation through the eyes of portrait artist Jamie Steward and four members of Bradford’s Windrush generation. The film invites viewers to slow down, listen deeply and see people with fresh understanding, a thread that runs through everything we create.
